It’s been a long time coming. Now I finally took the courage to start my rare Avenir kit. Below are three photographs of the start of my summer ferry project - the Espresso Corinto. Based on the Heller Avenir I attempt to build her in the Italian version in white with blue decks. Maybe other modelers are interested.

First works on the upper structure.

From my experience with the ‘Big U’ I cut out any interior deck space to save weight on the upper structure. With RC in this scale every gram counts. I didn’t forget Atle’s comments, when he said he had painted the topsides of all superstructure walls in deck colour as well. More to come ….
